Cherupayar Payasam


Hai friends, Welcome to Nisha Rose Kitchen,  the magic world of cooking,  today let's see how to prepare a delicious and yummy Cherupayar Payasam,  it's simple to make and very tasty,  we prepare this dish especially during Onam festival,  now let's see the ingredients needed.



 

Ingredients : 

Green gram - 1cup
Milk-  1/2 liter
Cashew nuts and dry grapes
Ghee - 2 table spoon
Jaggery - 200gm
Cardamom - ¼ tea spoon
Coconut pieces - 2 table spoon
Rice powder - 2table spoon

How to prepare : 

Put washed and cleaned green gram in a cooker add 3 glasses of water and wait for 5 to 6 visils,  in the mean time let's make the jaggery syrup and keep a side , and also  let's take a small bowl and mix the rice powder with 4 table spoon of milk and keep aside.  Now let's see the cooker after removing the visil,  the green gram is well cooked  to this add jaggery syrup and boil well,  add cardamom powder,  mix well  , then add rice powder mix,  let it boil well,  then add milk,  boil again then add fried coconut pieces , off the flame,  and finally let's garnish It with fried cashew nuts and dry grapes...  And our delicious yummy Cherupayar Payasam is ready....  Serve hot and enjoy.
