Hi Friends, Welcome to Nisha Rose Kitchen, we are explaining how to prepare Onam Special ADA Pradhaman at home. This is very tasty Kerala style pradhaman (Payasam). Please read completely and try to make the same way we prepare to get the proper very tasty ADA Prdhaman.

 ADA Pradhaman is a traditional Kerala pradhaman (Sweet or Payasam). Especially for every Onam this payasam or sweet is a must in  all malayalees house. And do not miss this very tasty recipe and Please try this.

Our ADA Pradhaman Recipe:

ADA  - 250g

Coconut: 3 Nos.

 Vellam: 1Kg

Ghee: 4 Spoon

Chowary: 100g

Cashew nut: 15Nos.

Dry Grapes: 25 Nos.

 Fried small Coconut Pcs: 1/2 Part of Coconut.

Elakka Powder (cardamom): 1/2 spoon

Preparation

Take Coconut milk 1st set milk - 2 glass, Second set  - 3 glasses and Third set - 4 glass and keep it a side. 

And then Vellam boil it along with water and keep it a side. 

Cook Chowary by adding water and keep it a side.

Now cook ADA by adding water and allow to cool by adding normal water for sometime. One its cold filter ADA and keep it a side.

Now 1/2 Pcs of Coconut fry it in ghee and keep it a side.

Cashew Nut and dry grapes also fry it in ghee and keep it a side.

How to prepare:

Now take no sticky pan or uruly and put it in stove and switch on stove in low flame. Once pan or uruly is hot then add 2 spoon of ghee and ADA and mix well. After 2 mins add vellam liquid and then stove increase to high flame. ADA & Vellam mix well and allow to boil very well (continue mixing). Once its boiled, add second set milk now and boil well (do not stop mixing). Now add Chowary, add third set of milk and mix well continue boiling. One all are boiled, add Elakka podi (cardamom) and again mix very well to boil. If we have balance ghee, we can add now to the mix.

Now Add fried coconut, Dry Grapes & Cashew Nut and mix very well and allow to boil all the mix.

Now add 1st Set of coconut milk and then mix it. Now we can switch off flame. Allow to cool a bit.

Now our super taste ADA Pradhaman is ready to serve.

 Tips:

1. We should always cook Chowary seperatly as it will not get mix well if we directly add to the main mix of Pradhaman along with Vellam.

2. After adding 1set set of coconut milk, do not boil it again.

3. If we are taking more glass of 3rd set of coconut milk, payasam will find as little loose and you can add 2 spoon of maida or rice floor to payasam by mixing it to 3rd set of coconut milk and boil very well. After this you can add coconut fry, cashew nut etc to it.
